Space Park Leicester launches new platform to connect companies with young talent

A new platform developed by Space Park Leicester will help students and graduates to connect with organisations offering exciting space science, engineering and technology internships.
The University of Leicester’s £100m space research, innovation and teaching hub has launched a new Internships Portal on its website to help individuals explore and apply for hands-on roles across the UK that support real-world, space-focused projects.
The new portal already features opportunities from key players in the space industry – such as Airbus UK, Leonardo, the UK Space Agency and the UK Atomic Energy Authority – and also includes details of the University of Leicester’s 2026 Graduate Internship Programme.

Space Park Leicester Education and Outreach Officer Josh Barker said: “At Space Park Leicester we’re committed to providing education and training opportunities that inspire and equip the next generation of engineers, analysts and entrepreneurs to drive forward the space industry.
“Our new Internships Portal will make it easier for students and graduates to learn about hands-on roles in space-focused projects that will provide them with vital skills and enable them to begin forging strong relationships with professionals working in the industry.
“It will also help space science, engineering and technology companies to promote their internships to a wider audience, giving them greater opportunities to gain access to the brightest young talent in their field.
“The new portal already features opportunities from a variety of organisations and we’d be delighted to hear from more companies which want to explore using the platform.”
